Feeling the need to escape and be alone with herself, she decided to join the Sacred Breath retreat on a last-minute impulse. Though initially hesitant due to being a mother of two and never having been away from her kids and home (she had never traveled!), she was drawn to the seven-day Buteyko Breathing training at a high-altitude led by Sasha Yakovleva. She had previously undergone some Buteyko Breathing training and desired to strengthen her breath and inner self.
During the retreat, she connected with Buteyko practitioners, feeling a sense of kinship and forming Community bonds. One of her favorite experiences was walking barefoot on different textures of sand, something she had never done before. She relished the chance to immerse herself in cold water, finding it invigorating and refreshing. The retreat’s natural setting amidst mountains fulfilled her love for nature, providing ample opportunities to be surrounded by the majestic peaks she adored. Practicing Nature Tempering made her feel much more vital and improved her immune and nervous systems.
