Buteyko Breathing Technique Helps with Sleep Apnea, Diabetes, Mobility

This man took a Buteyko Breathing Normalization Training course with Fred Brown, Advanced Buteyko Specialist, a bit more than a year ago. How did his health change since then? Listen to Fred and Jamal evaluating the results of this online program.

Jamal decided to learn the Buteyko Breathing Techniques because he was suffering from several serious health issues – sleep apnea, diabetes, and high blood pressure, and high cholesterol were some of them. He was not able to work and was on many types of medication. Also, due to his metabolism being disturbed by chronic hyperventilation, he always felt hungry, even 20 minutes after eating. He was not able to walk even for a half-mile without a severe level of hyperventilation. He wished to improve his health to a degree when he could live without medication; he hoped that the Buteyko Breathing Technique would help him achieve this goal and, first of all, stop his sleep apnea. First, he thought that the Buteyko method was too good to be true, but, despite his skepticism, he decided to give breathing exercises a chance. He felt like a prisoner in his body, and his doctors were trying to convince him that this was his new normal. He was told that he had to use a CPAP for the rest of his life. He does not use a sleep apnea machine anymore or rely on a CPAP. This is just one positive change among many.
