Salt is essential for our health. All mammals consume it and humans should not be an exception. Dr. Buteyko recommended eating it without any limitations. Salt helps to restore vital minerals, which most people lose due to over-breathing.

The next morning, I made toast, spread it with fake butter, and generously sprinkled it with Himalayan salt. It was delightful! After that, I kept putting salt on everything I ate.
Within the first month of this approach, my kidney pain was gone and it has never come back. Salt is still a part of my daily diet; however, I don't eat it as much as I did in the beginning. Since I don't over-breathe anymore, my body is able to maintain a normal level of minerals and therefore I don't crave salty food.
