Take a moment and notice your breathing. Become familiar with it: you need to know exactly how you breathe when you are physically active or at rest, when you talk, sing, eat, or when argue with someone. Do you often breathe through your mouth? Is your breathing audible? Does your chest move when you breathe? If even one answer to these questions is ‘yes’, you hyperventilate, meaning that your body consumes more air than it needs. Excessive breathing is damaging to all bodily systems and, consequently, it contributes to the development of many diseases. It decreases our vital energy and makes us feel tired. Remember, there is no health without healthy breathing. Take a moment and notice how you breathe.Â
