Taking the Level 1 Breathing Normalization course was the best decision I have made about my health to date. I am 60 years old and suffer from numerous symptoms for which no doctor has been able to provide any help. My diagnoses include chronic fatigue, migraine associated with vertigo, LPR reflux, migraine, chemical sensitivity, fibromyalgia, IBS-c, and more. Dizziness is the main symptom causing me to be disabled for the past five years.
I tend to be quite cynical about alternative techniques and their efficacy as well as the value for the cost of treatment. So I went in pretty skeptical. And now I can say that, for me, the Level 1 course under-promised and over-delivered. I consider Sasha to be an angel in my life.
When I was first sick, I tried working with other Buteyko practitioners and reading books because I did not want to invest the money necessary to work with the Breathing Center. But all that did was make me far sicker and I regret it. Five years later, I was drawn back to this method and to the Breathing Center. I truly believe that chronic hyperventilation plays a big part in my dizziness. Being on Disability, I don't have a lot of disposable income, so it was a very scary decision to invest in the Level 1 training. But I can tell you without hesitation, it was money incredibly well-spent.
Today, I know how to keep my dizziness from spiraling out of control. It's not gone, but when I do the work, it really helps. My friends and family notice a remarkable change in my demeanor as well from the profound techniques of relearning how to speak and using Breathing Normalization to help me relax. Sasha also taught me how to eliminate the constipation gently and naturally. And I thought I had tried EVERYTHING! It's truly a miracle. The healing I have experienced has been on a physical, mental, and spiritual level.
For me, this is a lifelong process and it's only been a few months. If I keep doing what Sasha has recommended, I have no doubt that my health will continue to improve.
Because I could send daily updates throughout Level 1 and Sasha was incredibly and deeply responsive, I was far more committed and disciplined with all that I learned than if I was just on my own (as with reading books or just seeing a practitioner here and there).
Sasha is a remarkable teacher, patient, gentle, and exceptional at translating complex material into simple instructions. She is generous of spirit and despite my times of fear and panic over my health, she virtually "held my hand" to get me through. I cherish the techniques I have learned and because I, personally, am seeking a spiritual path in my life, I am able to translate this work into that broader context.
At 60 and with the deeply rooted health issues I deal with, I wasn't looking for a cure, but I was seeking healing. Sasha and the Breathing Normalization method have brought so much healing to my life and for that I will be eternally grateful. I recommend Sasha and the Breathing Center unequivocally and with the highest recommendation.
