From Allergies To Asthma, Buteyko Breathing Brings Relief *

My 10-year-old daughter Julia had an anaphylactic reaction and was diagnosed at 5 years old with reactive airways and severe allergies.  Over the past 5 years, we have been to countless doctors and have tried many treatments.  Nothing was working.  Julia was prescribed daily inhaled steroids, daily prescription allergy medication and given a nebulizer.  She was told she now is classified as an asthmatic.  She was getting worse.

Julia and I started training with Cathy Vogt in January 2012.  Since starting Buteyko Breathing, Julia has not used any prescription medication, inhalers, or nebulizers.  She has had the best spring since being diagnosed 5 years ago.  She is playing softball, spending time outside and most importantly, she is happy again.  She is doing all of the things that she has not been able to do for a very long time.

The Buteyko Breathing Method has become part of our daily lives and will continue to be a priority in our day-to-day activities.  My family is grateful to have the Julia we know and love back……happy, full of energy and healing.  We are grateful to Cathy and the Breathing Normalizationâ„¢  team.

UPDATE: November 2012: Email from Melanie to her Breathing Normalization Specialist, Cathy Vogt

Hi Cathy,

I just wanted to say hello and tell you how amazing Julia is doing. She has had the healthiest year yet. Unbelievable!  She is now playing basketball. A pretty strenuous sport. She seems less tired than any of the girls on her team.  She is so happy.  I am so grateful that you came into our lives. You gave us hope ( and tools) when I felt like we had ran out of options.

Thank you,

Melanie Skaryd
